He was mustered in on June 15, 1864 at Camp Bradford in Baltimore, served his term of enlistment, and was mustered out at Baltimore on September 29, 1864. After returning to Westminster following the war, Zepp married Elizabeth Ruth Devilbiss Zepp on October 9, 1871. The couple had six children: William, Nettie, Arthur, Victor, Nannie, and Emily. Zepp worked various jobs including a clerk, huckster, and salesman and lived at various times on West Main Street, Park Avenue, and Chase Street in Westminster before his death in 1932.
