    Corporal Paul Yingling was born on August 17, 1834. He married his wife Sarah on March 2, 1859, and the couple had three children: Ella, Elmer, and Harry. Yingling enlisted in Company F, First Maryland Cavalry Regiment, Potomac Home Brigade on February 26, 1864 at Frederick, Maryland. He was mustered in three days later in Baltimore as a Private. Transferred to Company H, First Regiment, Potomac Home Brigade on March 17, 1864, Yingling was listed as absent sick in hospital during June 1864. After his return to the regiment, he was promoted to Corporal on August 1, 1864 and was mustered out of the army on June 28, 1865 at Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. Following his wartime service, Yingling settled in Westminster and worked as a carpenter. Corporal Paul Yingling died on April 1, 1906.
