Henry C. GorsuchVeteran

Private Henry Clay Gorsuch was born on October 12, 1843. He enlisted in the Union Army on July 2, 1862, serving in Company F of the Second Maryland Volunteer Infantry Regiment. At the end of the war he was discharged from service on August 10, 1865. He returned to Westminster where he married Mary E. Moore Gorsuch, a widow, in 1889 and worked as a bark packer, probably for a local tannery operation. Private Gorsuch was a member of the Burns Post, No. 13, Grand Army of the Republic and died on January 24, 1909.
