Gust Sarris

Cousin of Helen Sharkey who lived with the family after his wife died. Gust was born in the Dardanelles and came to America in 1907 aboard the SS St. Laurent which landed at Ellis Island. He lived in Ohio prior to moving to Westminster to live with his cousin, Helen Sharkey. He was the chef at the American Restaurant and the Stonehouse Grill. Called "Uncle Gus" he was a favorite of the children who loved his cakes and pies.
